Yoga Nidra 6.15pm- 7.15pm
Little Shop of Treasures, Pudsey
Service Description
Yoga nidra leaves you feeling relaxed after a busy day. All you need to do is to gently move your body and then lie down and listen to the voice, staying in the space between being awake and being asleep. The word 'nidra' means ‘sleep’ so it is the sleep of the yogi, or psychic sleep and it will promote well-being and inner peace. It's also effective for releasing tension physically, emotionally and mentally. It naturally induces the state of relaxation, enabling a deep letting go and thereby a rejuvenation on all the levels of our Being. It encourages a meditative awareness and is a powerful tool for cultivating a greater awareness of more subtle inner experiences. Yoga nidra was first devised in the 1960s by Swami Satyananda based on his own personal experience and on his knowledge of the classical Tantric practice of Nyasa and I follow this tradition, having been trained at Mandala Ashram. This session will take place at the beautiful new studio above Little Shop of Treasures and numbers are very limited.
